Hello Kindergarten Families,
We have been very busy learning about seeds. As we have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk, we planted our own beans and are very excited to watch them sprout! We have been examining different types of seeds from flowers to the seeds in the fruits and veggies in our snacks. We have learned the different parts of a seed (seed coat, embryo and food) and then drew diagrams in our learning journals.
This week, a giant beanstalk grew in our classroom! We also found giant footprints! We traced our feet and measured the giant's footprints with our own footprints. We used blocks to measure how big our footprints were and compared them to many objects around the room.

Our beans are starting to sprout!
A magic beanstalk grew in our classroom!
There were giant footprints too!
We traced our own feet and cut out our footprints
Then we measured how big our feet were with blocks
All our footprints reached the roof!!

I love the giant beanstalk!!!
