Hello Kindergarten Families,
Today we felted beautiful pictures of trees. We learned where the wool comes from and how it is cleaned and dyed for us to use. We used our fine motor skills to carefully pull and stretch the wool to form the sky, ground and branches. Then we really got to work "agitating" the fibers to stick together. We used all our muscles to roll and rub our pictures to turn the wool into felt. We even counted to 100 as we rolled! The students placed leaves on their trees which represented the important people in their lives. They placed a special golden "me" leaf on their trees to represent them.
Here are some pictures of our fun morning. Thank you again to our volunteers. We could not have done it without you!
